Learner Drivers
Weekly lessons – Driving Ambition offer weekly driving lessons in and around the Shepton Mallet region of 1 hour and 50 mins duration, extensive experience has lead them to believe that this is the optimum length for a driving lesson.
Driving Ambition teach the Driving Standards Agency syllabus with safety as the first priority. Driving Ambition offer flexibility in dates and times of lessons, clients can either book one or two lessons a week at regular times, or arrange flexible times to fit in with work or studying. Driving Ambition also offer a free pick up from home, college, school or work in the Shepton Mallet, Wells, Frome,
Intensive courses
Driving Ambition’s courses enable individuals, of all ages, to learn to drive away from normal everyday pressures. Either as an alternative to or as a supplement to the regular weekly lessons the time it takes to be test-ready can be reduced through an intensive course. Driving Ambition offer a full range of courses, either one-to-one or with a friend, all instructors are fully qualified, registered and approved driving instructors. Driving Ambition will usually commence a practical course once the client has passed the theory test with a view to booking the client’s practical test for the final day of the intensive course.
16+ course
The Driving Ambition Early Drivers Course is a full day’s tuition on a purpose built private road network situated within an hour of the Wells area. Clients are collected from their home or school and given a safety briefing followed by a demonstration drive controls lesson en route to the venue. The day is the spent learning how to negotiate junctions, roundabouts, pedestrian crossings and much more with breaks for refreshments. At the end of the day clients are presented a 16+ certificate from Driving Ambition and are taken back to their home or school.
New Drivers
Pass Plus – Pass Plus is a course specially designed by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA), much more than just a few extra lessons, a Pass Plus course boosts confidence and teaches new drivers how to deal with a wide range of road and traffic situations, many of which they probably won't have faced before, Pass Plus also enhances a new driver’s awareness of hazards and helps them to anticipate and handle hazards safely a factor accounted for by reduced insurance premiums for Pass Plus drivers.
Driver development
Driving Ambition offer a number of courses that are open to drivers of all ages wishing to update their skills and gain confidence. Tuition is tailored to the individual’s needs and includes Advanced Driving, Motorway Skills, Parking and Reversing and many more.
